My MPC freaked out last night!

After saving the entire memory, when I wanted to load another program from the internal HD, every folder and file was named with odd characters, like a hart and more of those very strange characters.. I could nt load them off course and after that my MPC was very slow. So I rebooted and some files where missing and some wavs are merged together and cutted in half and stuff like that! :?

I think it was my DVDrw that was (for one time) connected via the USB port.. So propably the drive is incompatible after all.. Its a Lite on DVD writer (USB2).

It was connected because I wanted to record from an audio CD, internally (record window). But that does not work! Someone knows if thats possible? Can you record internally from an audio CD with a CD loaded in a CD-rom drive via the USB port? Or do you need it connected via IDE?
