you really only need/use this option if your running out of poly, right?

haven't found a use for that so far! only thing i can think off is as glide said once you run out of polyphony ...

thanks 4 the replies , i agree about poly , but when tryin it out it sounded like it tightend the drums up a little when layering two different drum kits/progs playin the same pattern in a heavy seq,,,,,i duno('')

(':)')... goodlooking .....

my thinking behind this was that it could be impossible for the 4k to trigger internal samples from two programs playing the same seq at the exactly same time.
meaning programs could have timming and poly priority?????':?'

seriously! i use this similar priority feature at my sound module sometimes! the virus only has 24 polyphony! but there its different coz when playin cords, multiple tones, long released sounds, fx's, ... polyphony can be short at times!

... but can't imagine runnin into things like this on the 4k! coz 32/64? poly is a lot and most sounds are usually short sounds, drums, ...

but dunno ... maybe you're into orchestral shit and wanna have a session with the london, new york and viennese symponicuses alltogether alongside with some wikked dnb beaz ...
