Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

I was looking at programming a few synth patches to take advantage of the akais filters however, there is one thing I am a little confused about, is it possible to get the mpc to track a filter so the cutoff freq increases by a semi tone per key???
I can assign keyboard and filter freq in modulation matrix however the amount is 0 to 100 and not real values.
I.e. 100cents!

Its a shame if u can't as it would be good for sculpting the harmonics of an oscillator using three notch filters.
precise keytrack???
anyone?????

Go to Yahoogroups and log into the mpc4000 one,
and into the Files section,
and find the Filter Test .akp file that someone called j0t0 made in 2002,
it will demonstrate to you how rubbish the MPC4000 filters are in this respect...

that explains a fair bit,
from this I suppose any sort of accurate key tracking is out.
what a waste.
All those filter and the can't even track across a keyboard.

Its basic things like this thats why people hold Kurzweils in high esteem. Speaking of which the new pc3 is very very good.
