I just picked up the 4000 yesterday and just thought i'd be able to just jump into it and get busy...you know, get choppy time with it....i upgraded from the mpc 1000 with the JJ OS on it, so I thought the difference wouldn't be too drastic. Well, basically it doesn't seem so easy. Basically I divided a sample into 32 regions, but I can't get the region to loop (yes, i have the play mode in loop). The original sample will keep looping, and i know one pad is the start of the region and the another is where the next region begins. There's gotta be an easier way to chop shit up and listen to regions as you trim them up.
