i got a question which is bothereing me since a few days and i don't find any clearance! its about the adsr (edit page 1 - bottom right)
when learning the 4k i withthrought a lot of knowledge from my synth experience (m using virus) which was quit helpful - but sometimes .... dunno it leads me in wrong directions!
i'll try to explain my quest on an example!
on my synth module i program 1. a bd sound and 2. a string sound! now if i look at its adsr it has completely different shapes!
on my 4k i sample a 1. bd and 2. a string sound and assign them to a new program (drumprogram) and too my surprise the adsr of both is the same: it always gives me an a=1, d=50, s=100, d=15!
the problem is not the sounds on the 4k! they sound exactly the same as i sampled them! but the workin of the 4k adsr must be different then the one from a subtractive synth imo!
1. is this normal/correct or am i doin something wrong?
2. how does the 4k come from a sample to an adsr in the program? are they preset?
if anyone could exokaub ít to me would be greatly appreciated!
cheers
