What magazines do you read?

I was wondering what magazines about music production and music gear do others read. I read Remix and Keyboard. Both are very useful with tips and techniques.

And I don't mean magazines that talk about clothing or other crap like that!

future music is the only one that gets my money, the discs usually make up for the software reviews of late.

I read Future Music and Computer Music. Both are very similar. Have CDs with demos and samples. High priced but worth it compared to domestic (state side) mags.

Most definitely CM and FM. I prefer Computer Music magazine more because it's geared more to, obviously, computer made music software.
Whereas, Future Music magazine reviews more on hardware. But they do have good free sample cd's.

use to get THE MIX, they had the best sample CD's , dont know if they're still outthere, i dont sample off cd's anymore so dont really care.

EQ, Mix, urb, tape op, recording, remix, Sound On Sound, and all the ones above.

scratch magazine is the best and the newest magazine for producers . it is a quarterly and the first edition is still on the stands with dr. dre on the front . it is filled with interviews with the top producers and it gives a list of all there gear dr.dre has five or six mpc 3000 connected together

URB!?! That is an awful magazine. I don't want to know about fashion or what some artist houses look like. They have no real useful info about music production.

sometimes and they got all the new dj gear. but lately i aint **** wit it. But they used to have good articles wit hip hop producers. And they did have a studio and production section in the back. Its mainly for Djs though.

I USED to read Computer Music all the time since issue 2 or 3. I was wokring at a record store so I got copies for free. It's very expensive if you have to pay for it. I don't pick it up anymore because I got quite sick of them repeating the same information over and over and over again. I swear in every other issue there was an article about how to set up your computer to record music. What type of sound card should you buy? What type of software should you buy. You can only do that for so many issues before it gets redundant. Sometimes there are good articles. Just go to the website and you can read a bunch of the reviews and tutorials. It's a good mag if you don't know much about computer recording.

I definately read Sound on SOund. For me it has the best reviews,
great writers and technicians and great tutorials. Future music is also
a great read.
