Regarding turning samples into scales on the MPC 4000

Hi everyone!

I'm kinda new to the MPC and would really need some assistance that I think might have been answered before even though I didn't find anything when I searched for it...

Me and my friend have found a great feature on the mpc 4000 - the one feature that lets you stretch one sample up on several octaves and making it lowered/highered while choosin to play it from the A/F bank. Now, this really kicks ass as you suddenly get your samples all more vivid but while using this feature we haven't discovered how to put any other sample in to that program.. Any suggestions?

And please, if this has been answered before don just answer just that, also supplemend us with a link 'cause we're bothkinda losing our minds on this one...

I assume /guess you are in trim mode ..
what you need to do is create a keygroup program ..


#press> open window
(while curser is on the sample name)
a window will pop up .. one of the F keys will have the option to> assign to program

#select > new program

pogram type = keygroup

go to main and assign that new program to a track .. and play away

on top of that you have a huge array of options to design that programs via envelopes, filters, layers, lfo's and use the mod matrix to bring it alive..
