more on Note Off

Hi, is the following possible to program with 4000:

Setting up a program or multi so that 2 different samples gets triggered from the same key. One on note on and the other on note off but one has to cancel other. I mean, I've been able to make the first one go away on note off no prob there, but can't find a way for the note off one to get canceled on the note on. Is there a way? I would really love this method to work for some fast guitar tremolo picking or strummings.

Also, when pressing other key, the note off sample of the previous key need to shut the **** up on the other keys note on as well, of course. Possible?

Ok, is at least possible for sample to stop on another note on and not note off? Can't figure it out sorry.

Having trouble following exactly what you are trying to do. Are you saying you want both sounds to cancel each other out so only one plays at a time? Also, what method did you use to get what you did get working?

From what I gathered, I would use a keygroup program, make a keygroup for the sample, make a copy of that, then change the 2nd one to trigger at note-off. Then if you set both of these to the same mute group, everything should cancel each other out.

Another common method of doing note-on/note-off is to use 2 drum programs and layer them... but then mute groups can't help you.
