How long does it take to boot up an MPC-4000?

I'm interested because I have an MV-8000 and it take 2 years to boot up. By the time it's on I forget what the hell I wanted to record. The reason is the MV-8000 loads everything to memory. I was wondering how long does the MPC-4000 takes to boot up and do you have to do any fancy shutdown procedure to turn it off.

About ten seconds without autoload. I just turn the power off when im done. Am I doing this wrong??

It all depends on how much you are loading upit takes mine a while to load up but thats because I refuse to stream line and I want all I can get that I have

my auto load folder is 340megs and it takes my 4k about 15minutes to load

Ok, I don't feel that bad now. I'm doing about 1:50 secs to boot and 3:23 to shutdown on the MV-8000. Thats only 128MB. I'll just have to work around it.

Whats in the 340megs folder? 50 different drumkits and some fully mapped piano programs?

I cant load everything on boot up, if im cruisin through some vinyls I've just picked up I load 1 program(4 samples)Kick, Snare, hats closed & open.

I need to have sht fresh or it fks my head editing sht an having to scroll through hundreds of samples that are from a couple of instrument programs.

Plus I couldnt wait 15 mins for my mpc to load!!!!!! I get itchy trigger fingers

my auto load contains alot of different shyt.... i have my 808 and 909pgm,my mini moog pgm, my m1 pgm, my grand piano off mic pgm, ect. not just drums, and the scrolling through samples problem i dont have cause as soon as i got my 4k i put together programs for my favorite and most used samples, got familiar, so now instead of scrolling i just pick programs... but yes my keyboard prgs are mapped.... and the 15min load time is long but i just turn it on first thing and then go eat be the time i eat and shower the beast is ready....but sometime when im using wax i just load some drums and bass...but whenim doing some r&b or gospel i load the autoload folder and im good .....and to be honest im working on sets to mimic the triton and phantom and then the motif and i have 400meg soon to top it off to 512mg 256+128+16=400
