just got mpc 4000 sampling question

What up fellow 4000 users I'm a proud owner of a 4000 finally . just got one question doe. I am having a problem when sampling drums every drum I sample has a click noise at the end of it I have tried everything to get it out and I can't . I have changed envelope settings I even trim the samples to the point were I trimed some of the sample off , I have tried leaving a small space at the end or beginning ,now these are the same drums I had on my 2500 hundred I'm just sampling them off of my CPU and I never had clicks in any of these samples . I'm sampling at 24 k 96 k is there a bug with this sample rate or something . O and I almost forgot to mention that the mpc had some drum programs in it when I bought and they didn t have this problem so maybe someone could tell me if I'm missing an envelop setting or something thanks for any advice in advance .

try burning the sounds to cd, then load them in the MP see what happens.congrats on the 4k! go to AKAI website and download the manuel if you don't have 1 already.

Thanks for the reply I have the manual. Last night I just hooked up a usb drive to the 4000 and dragged the samples over and from what I see everything was cool so this has me wondering is there something wrong with my 4000s sampler or something any thoughts ?

Sample at 24-bit and 44.1k! 96k is more of a headache than you will ever know when importing and moving samples around between MPC's!

thanks for the help everyone I decided to do what you all said and sample in at 24/44 k and so far everything seems to be good I hate that 96k had some bugs cause I really wanted to use it but o well thanks anyways.

The problem is your ADSR envelope, nothing more, nothing less: the 'release' portion is too fast and so you hear a click.

Thing is I got the release on a 100 cause I like to hold my 808

lol 100?!? crazy.
Try setting it to 10 or something like that!
And make sure your triggering is set to "One Shot".

The problem is nothing whatsoever to do with the sampling rate,
it is something to do with how sample amplitude is getting manipulated at the Note Off.
If it's not the ADSR envelope (the R part), then maybe you've set up some extra modulation in the Program matrix too?

I have a 4000, have been having this problem too, when i sample it adds a click, i can see it on some wav forms so can clip it off but it's annoying. Also the 'out' bar on the main page on the MPC goes black when the sample ends and you hear the click. This is really pissing me off, any ideas?

From my experience of getting the click at the end, you just got to trim it off to the best of your abilities.

but using trim will shorten your sample, throwing timing off loops if the a are perfectly bpm'd. here in lies the problem.
using decay works better than trim

Oh yeah, that makes sense, damn I didnt know that because when I sample in my MPC from my Itunes, I guess when it stops sampling it causes a click at the end of my sample, thats what I thought he was referring to, Mines does the same thing.
