I suppose there is only so much you can pack into a compact stand-alone workstation. If you care to elaborate, what prompted your decision to cop a 4000 vs. a 2000 or 3000?? They all do the same thing really...can't stop trippin off that 24/96 sh** though not a lot of samplers have that.
