Ok cool,
You're only like 30 min. away from me..
I do some mc'in too...
What kind of set up do you have?
Me, I just have my computer, MPC4000 and computer speakers..
Pretty ghetto I know, but I'm just getting started.
I have the Triton Keyboard, Motif Rack, MPC 4000, and 800 MHz G4 MAC computer. I use Pro Tools to record using the Digi 001 interface with 6in Monitor speakers. I have been making beats for only a few years, I was using the MPC 2000xl until I sold it to one of my friends so that I can get the new MPC 4000. Now Im trying to learn this new monster, along with my Motif Rack Modual too. I don't MC but I know people that do, and I just produce tracks for them when they them. I'm just going though a time of learning my new equipment.
There's a big learning curve...
This is my first production machine. So you could imagine...
It is a beast!! I'm just getting the hang of turning samples into sequences..
I haven't messed with the Song section yet...
Do you like it better then the MPC2oooxl?
Or is it too early to say...
I liked the MPC 2000xl, it was easy to operate out the box Im just saying this now. The MPC 4000 requires more learning do to some of its new features.
Im sure I will learn in time, and I know the 4000 is better than the 2000.
Hit me up on email if you want to collaborate on the weekend or something... I'd be interested to see how you have your studio setup.. I'm looking to get more equipment once I save up some money...
Sup Don this Lampdog, I didn't know you was a member on here also. What the C like? HAHA.. I'm thinking bout selling my 2000xlse2 and get a 4000 but I don't see a huge advantage for me since I already got a super strong computer ya dig.. U know my steez already man..
Well you was showing me a whole lot of stuff on the MPC 2000xl. You need to go ahead and make that move and get the 4000, so you can teach me some new stuff. I know you will get the 4000 and master it also, the new features on this thing will work for someone like yourself that knows what the hell he's doing.
I only became a member on here, to talk to people like yourself.
