neeD help..question for the 4k- Has to do with(SAMPLE) LIST

kinda confused here to whats goin on ... SO I LOAD UP A WHOLE DRUM KIT FROM A CD.. IM IN MY SAMPLE LIST MENU.. THE SCREEN WITH ALL OF THE SAMPLES.. I THOUGHT AN ACCURATE WAY TO AUDITION EVERY SAMPLE IS TO PRESS PAD 16 (THE ONE WITH PLAY ON TOP OF IT) THE WAY THIS SNARE SOUNDED WHEN I PRESSED THAT WAS DOPE..

HOWEVER.. WHEN I HIT (WINDOW) AND IM AT THE ADD TO THE PROGRAM SCREEN THERES AN AUDITION BUTTON I PRESS IT AND IT SOUNDS DIFFERENT! DIFFERENT PITCH DOESNT HAVE THE SAME SPICE U KNOW WHAT I MEAN? =]


SO MY QUESTION TO YOU GUYS IS.. IS THERE A WAY OF AUDITIONING THE SAMPLES ACCURATELY IN THE SAMPLE LIST SCREEN ... WITHOUT HAVING TO HIT THE WINDOW BUTTON -- ADD TO PROGRAM -- PRESS F3 AUDITION -- FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL SAMPLE (THATS ALOT OF WORK FOR LIKE 100 SAMPLES

and press the letter "C" on it!

Middle C is note #60 i belive, just check the pad assignment. Also go online and Google midi note numbers and you should be able to find something that shows you what note numbers go with the actual key. Good luck homie.

seriously, spend more time w/the manual.

also, hit the pad assign button. then go thru the pad banks untill you find that magic pad that is assigned to note 60.

for me pad 1 on bank 1 is note 32. 60 for me is bank B pad 13... when it's chromatic of course. that's why you have to look around, and find it. it's the pad that says "hello bongo" in it... i mean "hi bongo".
