i hate it when people lie about things they sell. its cheap. giving false info is illegal too!

hmm... though it sounds like from above you are going to call me a liar...
but my MPC 4000 for the last 3-4 years has had NO issue with recording FX when recording Main Out's.
If your FX are ON then it will record them. It records EXACTLY what you hear with your speakers.
Maybe tone down the post a bit, if you want to find out what step you aren't doing correct, though
I don't know what you could be missing.
Basically get a beat going that you like and add which ever FX you want. Then go to the Record and turn the
source to "Main Out" and hit the record button. It will record what ever you are hearing including which ever
FX you have set. If you have a long delay or reverb programmed, be sure to include some extra empty
bars at the end of the Sequence to allow the Delay and Reverb to finish or the end will get cutoff in the
resulting sample...
