FLUENT, you tryin to rain on my parade :?: Let get one thing str8 I don't use loops and radio friendly music is not my thing. It's all about sound quality, and making life easer on myself. You rock a ps 12 right? or a mp 60?COOL whatever works for you bro. I have heard the argument that less sample time some how magically improves your creativity BULL$HIT!
You just have to work harder and longer to do somthing if box is limited. I understand dirty sound, and i love it, but when you sample at 12 bit you loose clarity & treble.I'm tryin to make life easer on my self with the 4k(usb keyboard, larger screen, better all around everthing) because THATS what helps my creativity folw.I feel bad that i'm leaving the 2kxl family behind kinda gulity and unloyal but i want more and the 4k has it.
FLUENT i think a 4k will only improve your sound, and make things easer on you when you learn the os sys.I tried to close my mind to the 4 k because i was down with the 2kxl all the way, but when i think about i was just limiting myself and not willing to grow.

word, i agree somewhat, my original post wasnt there to talk shit about 4000s at all, in fact like i said if i could find one for $1500 its mine just to be able to make high sound quality tracks if i decide to..only thing i disagree about is the fact you dont get more creative with less sampling time, if you have the ear for sampling and are dedicated to the whole thing your creativity increases that much with less to work with you feel me? not that you aint creative with a 4000, but thats why im all about bangin out beats on an sp1200, it makes me work harder to make a good beat..and wit 10 seconds, i better be on point, or shit will sound like garbage...and nah no rainin on parades just a personal opinion

if you really want to creative, you'll need some instruments...not just loops.....if you want to play your own piano or strings, you'll need a little more then 10 seconds....sometimes being creative also involves actually writing some music, not just kk and sn....these days more stuff is written rather than sampled, and even the producers who use the sp100 have a rack of gear and sound modules.....

FLUENT wrote:word, knew that would happen, oh well

Your either going to have to change the standard or live within it, that rugged raw **** is 89, so don't come promoting it like another self absorbed underground producer that never gets very far with his music, but wants to be some sort of elitist because he wants to bite off someone elses style....

right, I sounded elitist? you best get your eyes checked then, i said it was an opinion, and of course some kid gets upset about it...yea yea yea, elitist, right, it has nothing to do with the "89 sound", or biting styles, but just to reference go buy a madlib cd and listen for yourself, and being creative is the single reason someone gets distinguished from the hordes of other producers who get no shine, and basement **** is what i PREFER (again, another opinion)... so stop catching e-feelings, and go re-read my post again

i made it pretty clear that i UNDERSTAND why someone would want the machine..i also said why personally id rather the sp1200 because it forces you to be creative with 10 seconds of sample time...but im not surprised to see some immature response about it

as far as versatility, thats why im buying a 4000, as i said in my post, but id never give up the sp1200 for a 4000, ever

on another note aww naww judging from your posts on the board you cant be older then 13...Peace

just because you have no limits doesn't mean you can't be creative.......at least I don't think so....hey even my man in the avatar know whaz up......

YO FLUENT, WHY DONT YOU DUMP THAT SP1200 AND GET AN SU10 YOU CAN FORCE EVEN MORE CREATIVITY OUT OF YOUR SELF BECAUSE IT ONLY HAS LIKE 7 SECONDS OF SAMPLE TIME

just because you have no limits doesn't mean you can't be creative

nah you right, i didnt say you cant be creative without using a sp1200, my man just blaze is a perfect example, he bangs out beats wit the 4000 that are some of the illest shit out right now. alchemist too ( the list goes on)..,im not sayin that, but on that same note you can get lazy with TOO high of limits, it seems to me like the 1200 keeps me sharp and if im not dead on point, then i aint gonna make any good music you feel me?. its not instant creativity but in a way it helps, cuzzo you learn to experiment more with that 10 seconds, and you gotta learn quick how to reallly freak a sample, or else ya beats will be booty, the less u got the more creative you NEED to be to make anything that sounds good...an its not the machine you use but how you get down on any piece of equipment you have anyway, im not promotin shit jus speakin my mind

some heads want that extra samplin time an want the computer compatibility an want all that technologically good stuff the 4000 has..its all preference mang

Fluent, no one is catching efeelings, your opinion really doesn't belong in this thread considering your trolling.....

Alot of the s your saying is b/s......

and being creative is the single reason someone gets distinguished from the hordes of other producers who get no shine

Being creative and being good/marketable is 2 different things

Some people like shadow are making music sheerly from the technical standpoint trying to do the most complex shit, all that doesnt matter, is the song hot?

point is you can just be as creative on a mpc 4k as a sp1200 you can get a rugged sound as well, and you have alot more options on the 4k then a sp, so stop it with the downing

If you know how to flip shit you know how to flip shit on anything, less sampling time isnt an advantage, no matter how much you think it is
