Try that for now, **Hint** when playing beats out or "Patterns" at higher tempos set the resolution down to a lower increment when recording kicks and use the 16th note function for the sped up hi hats and Snares, let me know if that helps you out, I had the same problem but I hit some good dope one day and started **** with the **** and figured it out, my joint been working ever since...

Sorry, and no disrespect but all what you say is myth. Its the same mystical voodoo nonsense about the MPC groove which really should be left in the dark ages where it belongs. The answer as to why certain MPCs groove better than others is simply down to how accurate their internal clocka are. Nothing more, nothing less. Its not just you. Others suggest its sloppy internal clock is somehow good for the groove. Again, an utterly ridiculous notion. What we need are super tight internal clocks, and actually this is exactly what we have in the 4k. I have just done the Litmus test an hour ago.
In regards what your saying about the resolution. Sure, if your playing triple quartet trills with a signature of 4/7 trotter style then those little trills would be best recorded at a higher resolution where a very small degree of quantisation is desired on those fancy little trills. In edm and Hip Hop we rarely need anything fancier than 32 or 64 triplet, the majority of the time 1/16 does it all. If I am recording a 4/4 kik I dont need to set my sequencer to 1/4 quantise in order to make sure it the kik plays back at quarter intervals (Unless im so rhythmically challenged I play everything a quarter beat out of time. The sequencer if set to 1/16 will have no problems placing the kik at quarter intervals even if i'm a complete amateur. What your saying just clouds the issue of can sequencer X keep time or not, ie is its internal clock accurate. Its not about the resolution which is about the sequencers ability to capture ever nuance of the players timing and place those events as closely as possible to when the pads were struck. But no matter how high the resolution if you intended that kik drum to be a position 1.1.0 thats where you want it to be. So in a wave editor with a a one bar 4/4 kik recorded @ 120bpm the distance between each note would be exactly 22050 samples. It would be the exact same number whether e a resolution of 1/96 and 1/100.000 was used.
