MPC sample edit functions sound terrible!

I just assumed that this was the resolution to the problem, didn't know you were still trying to get it running?

sorry to drag this back up but another thing to try is unhook all cables and rehook them. if you want to, you can even add 'dielectric' grease so your connections will never oxidize or lose contact (unless you knock them out of place). this is a common way to get strange behavior to go away in ANY electronic equipment. i have bought several mpcs that were 'acting strange' or displayed random characters and all that was needed was a cable job. voila, almost free mpc.
