I maintain this feature is broken -
if you set the note to trigger on "Note Off", then set the note's velocity to be determined by "Note Off Velocity", you will get a bunch of random mistriggering.

Also, the entire "Key Span Options" dialog is missing from Ak.Sys 2.53

Great then Feline I`m sure one day you will figure it out and solve it. Till then good luck. :D

It can only be "solved" by Akai debugging the source code!

The Z4 is just a sampler.

The MPC4000 is a sampler, sequencer and drum machine pads all in one.

If you can't even get *that* much right, Blue Haze, no wonder you give so much wrong advice

Blue Haze:

(i) it doesn't work for you. I'll bet money on the fact that you don't even understand what feature I'm referring to. The feature is broken.

(ii) All you ever do is cross-post links to other stuff, most of which is wrong, and make sweeping generalizations. I don't see how this helps anyone. It just clutters up the forum.

What you COULD do that would be useful is go round to Akai's offices in Japan and KICK their ASS for us all. *THAT* would be a help. :P

Hey feline says it doesn`t work then word it bond it doesn`t work right?

No matter what anyone else does, say, or shows it doesn`t work on the 4k.

But to each his own. The hardest thing in the entire planet is the heart of a man or ehmm feline no use changing him. Feline is a feline so I wish him much success in his endeavors.

No Mas

You are a man right or something akin to that if you got beef with Akai fight your own battles. Be a man and bum rush them suckers with your feathers and claw them to death. As far as helping others I`ll let you tell it and see what happens within say two weeks I`m willing to bet we all will be as constipated, grumpy, gassed, frustruted, and basically given up on the 4k like you have. Hell I want to kick my 4k out the door into the trash and be nooooooooooooo I don`t want to be like you.

Good luck anyways feline false pride is a joke. Alot of things is sometime something simple that has been overlooked. But what do I know as I had the 4k as long as you and you couldn`t find it right?

I`m gone. good luck on the 4k suckerrrrrrrrrr. :D :D :D :D

By the way why did they kick you off the other Akai forum???

Because they were annoyed with me because I exposed the fact that Akai Unprofessional was lying to its customers about bugs (e.g. the "can't save changes to Multis" one, and the e.g. 12dB drop in level on the FX returns)

hey, is this still a bug? Because when I have my program aftertouch setting set to poly instead of channel, whenever I load that program again, it is back to channel although it really really in fact was .. poly!
