Never noticed this before... but that press released photo has a SCREEN SHOT image of ak.sys opened up in INTERNET EXPLORER!!!!!!!! That means it probably wasn't even working at the time, you can clearly see the application is not loaded. Gotta love the ak.sys logo on the monitor bezel, too.


After those photos, that is when roland got the ideal of having a option to add a monitor to the mv8000.

well even freakin AKAI had the idea of letting you plug a VGA monitor in to the MPC3000 half a decade earlier, so this only increased customer bewilderment when it became apparent that you couldn't do the same with the flagship MPC4000, despite the adverts appearing to suggest you could, in *colour*! :angry:

The 4k was crazy money when it came out I can remember thinking damn all that cash and only stereo outs.
