ak.sys 2.53

Aksys works 'Perfectly' on my machine. it is a pretty great bit of complimentary software. I am using it with an old touch screen PC which allows you to do some great stuff with it.

@ Morebucks...Yeah I can definitely see a touch screen being more fun to work with than a mouse. What touch screen do you have? Is it simply a matter of cabling a stand alone touch screen? Ior are you talking about a comuter that has a touch screen.
I am probably going to do the video over because it really should be done with a screen capture instead of through a video recorder. I dislike the fact that the mic sounds so low.
It seems to me that more videos should have been made in the past. It would have helped to sell the MPC4000 and it would have been able to explain so much about it. Here it is 2012 and there was no youtube vid of the ak.sys screen.

I love the pad assign screen, you can assign zones etc all on one screen. Also i have been using KeyGroups for my drums more and more lately and that shit helps so much!!! My kicks knock and my snares snap with less time spent eliminating phase and stuff by beign able to filter every hit seperately. Also it makes organising your mpc drive a sinch.

So I tried the pad editor. It is a wonderful feature. It does not seem to work with Keygroups. looks like it is made for drum programs only. I did not put this feature in my video because I did not use it yet. So I will make another video (with better volume) and go through all the features. Also the Pad editor does not work with the Z4 or Z8 only the MPC4000....which makes sense since they do not have pads.

How dod I get to the Keygroup screen? If it just like the Pad Editor screen. I tried looking for it lastnight but did not see it.
Also who has specific information about the touch screen option to share? I asked about it earlier in the thread but it was either ignored or forgotten about.
