About the EQ. A multi EQ is part of the Z48 + mpc40000 sysex specification. you can verify this in the Z48sx150.pdf on PDFpage 37. You can control all the EQ parameters Alto describes above. I am still hoping to see it in a future update. It just needs to be implemented. The control section is already present in the OS.

i'd like values like 1/16th/, 1/4th & bars etc while changing the duration in step edit. maybe by holdinging shift and turning the jog wheel.
Holding shift and moving the q-linkfader for fast movement of start and end point selection in the sample window.

Yes and what about pc created programs.. If ya change the name of a wav and program, the program wont load correctly, 'cause it searches for other names..

another idea,,

Changing the startpoint of the bars,, besides changing the end-point. Will be very handy for long sequences, so you dont have to whait the sequence to hit the point where the change is made

I just thought of bringing this thread back to see if the testers are happy and if some of their expectations are being met? And if any unexpected additions were added that were not covered in this thread?

Peace out and be careful in installations see many problems can happen from users hmmn I mean (testers) errors too! :D

I`m proud of you guys and gals your dedication and sacriface to work this new challenges to the art of making music makes the MPC nation safe and sound. :D

1. Sequence purge for unused samples in a program.

Have you seen the DPS 24 software program that allows you to use vst

effects? What if they had that for vst instruments and effects for the MPC

4000.

one feature I would love to see in the q-link function is an option to
be able to controll a specific external synths controller, no matter
what track you are on.

let me explain...

At the moment, maybe i'm wrong, but it seems you can control an external synths filter, but only if you are on that instruments track
in the main page.... If I play live, I don't want to go to that instruments
track and then only be able to control the filter. I want to just tweak my q-link and hey presto.....

in the external send q-link assign, it would be great to have the option to choose the midi port and midi channel number, that way no matter what you are doing it will affect that port and midi channels params that you have assigned.....

Lets say you have two peices of gear connected to midi a and b....

i would assign q-link 1 to to modulate the cut off on my synth line,
port A midi channel 2 and also at the same time, q-link slider 5, would control the release of my arpeggio line on midi port B channel 6....

I think this would really make it a great sequencer for external gear....
not that it isn't but this would be a major feature....

this is implemented in a certain extent for internal sounds as you can assign it to a specific program...

Move command???/ Thats only in seq edit,,, i dont think you know what i mean

It would be nice if you can change the start position of the sequence in main mode in the sequence section,,

Sometimes you wanna make a drum role at the end of a 16 bar sequence,, it would be nice if you have to whait all 16 bars to hear the midi notes that have been changed

Yo Mohammed,

Use the locate functions above the transport.

The new "press GO TO twice" feature sounds ideal for your situation.

Press GO TO
enter your location e.g. 015.01.000
press enter
press GO TO.
press play to listen from one bar before your drum roll in measure 16.
If you don't like it press stop.
open the editor you like to edit the roll with and edit your values
press go to twice (you're now back, located at 015.01.000)
press play to listen to your changes.
etc...

should do the trick right?
