Will Chicken.Sys Translator do the job?

Hey fam..I was wondering if that program will do extraction of modern sample libraries (such as Halion,Kontakt etc) to s3000 format,so i can load up whole keugroups with correct mapping etc. in the 4000.I've load several libraries from Akai and EMU but most of those sounds are outdated now..Thanks in advance.

go to the Mvnation.com forums and look up a guy called chickeneps in the MV kit creator forums.

or just sign up at the the chicken system forums and look up a guy named Garth Hjelte. He's head programmer for the chicken systems program.

Also, if u go to the chicken systems site, it has a part on the site that tells you which files convert to which. So like you can set your destination file as s3000, and you can play around with a list of source samples (there's like a hundred of them). after you select your source sample, just hit enter and it will tell you if its compatible and other information....

they are beta testing the osx version if we all showed enough interest they would probably support mpc1k to 4k, and who knows maybe create a kit convertor for the mpc4k.
Which would make me very happy.

It's the release version, not beta. And it claims to be able to convert to any MPC PGM up to the 5000. There is however an issue thought converting to MPC3000 which was talked about in the forums.

Thanks again for your input y'all..every convertion is possible..i just tryin' to figure out a way to export them as .AKP programm,with all notes spread chromatically.It must be one,i'm not into doin' it manually

I found Extreme Sample Converter http://www.extranslator.com/ to be much easier to deal with and it does s5000 and z-Series conversions

extreme coverter is def much easier and it allows u to apply vst effects to the samples!

The only difference btwn Chicken and extreme is that Chicken supports more formats. Other than that, fuggetabboutit...
