MPC swing strenth

Hi peeps, i was hopeing if you could help me, i got my mpc 4000 connected with motif 6 keys, when i sequancing on the mpc and increase the swing to 50 percent to 75 the mpc doesnt play back the notes, sometimes...
any idea what i could be dong wrong?

Do you have the audio outs from the MPC plugged into the A/D inputs on the Motif?
