syncing mpc4000

Hello, I'm using the mpc4000, saffire le, cubase 4, winxp service pack 2. I can sync using midi timecode, smpte, and midiclock. The only problem is when i use midi timecode or smpte to sync, it always drops the kick and hat and comes in at the snare. In other words it skips the first measure of the bar, its annoying because if i have a intro verse it messes the begining up. after the studder they sync perfect. I want to sync with no hiccups in the begining. Anyone ever have this problem? I would like to use midiclock so i can just record the first 4 bars and copy the rest, but when i use midiclock the mpc starts late. All i want is cubase and the mpc to fire together at the same time. Thanks

guess what ? unless youhave another $40,000 to throw into your gear you are going to have to add an extra bar at the beginning of your sequence. you might also wanna play with the computers Buffer size from 1024 to 512 or lower just know that the lower you drop it the more you limit the amount of resources you have for FX
