Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

which way do you prefer when dumping beats from mpc 4000. would you rather do a eight bar loop & copy in paste in protools or do you like to arrange the entire beat in the mpc in song mode

I arrange the song inside the 4k then dump and then rearrange or add to it within the daw. Doing the 8bar dump leaves an unnatural cuttoff on effects and the tails on the some samples

I use song mode, never tried the other way..

you dump to daw using multi output or digital ?
