Hi all I just bought a MPC 4000 its awesome by far the best music production piece i ve ever used, just one question,
I chopped up a loop and spread them across 16 pads, I set them to the same mute group so that when I press a new pad it will mute the pad ive pressed before it, but the problem is when i repeatively striking the same pad over and over again, the sample wont get muted (its just overlapping itself), so how do I make a pad mute itself when I hit it?

thanks, peace

you need to set your samples from 64 (polyphone) to 1 (monophone) inside the prog-screen under "pitch".

this way the same sample won't overlap when you hit it twice ore more.
