Congrats on making the decision to come back.

Just to let you know, VST has a 4K listed in their used gear section for $1,900. Expensive, but you might be able to get some sort of warranty coverage from them.

i c..i was just wondering why the 4 and not the 2500 or the 5..
but if the 4000 was the only one you owned besides the 60 then i guess that dont help..

im looking to switch from 2500 to 4 or 5.
but i would like some input first..
well sorry to bomb ur thread and like dude above said...welcome back!!!

it is a tough choice.

I have been second guessing myself for a few hours now.

The 5000 seems like a better choice.
and the 5000 will read and play all my old 4000 joints

the 4000 will become a boutique piece in the future.
as it was the only machine to offer 24bit sampling

^^nice,i did not know that..
im reallt lookin at the 5..but somewhere i seen that it was really only a 3500 that they later called the 5...but if it was a 3500 howcome it offers more than the 4..in terms of nv sliders and rotary dials?...im hella confused and i love my 2500,,but then again i love both my xl's and my 500..id probably love any mpc in 1 way or another  ..well let us know what u decide on.

I also got 2 4k's
one for the studio and one for on the road!
Got a 60,3000,2000 and 1000 next to the 4k
but the 4k gets used the most (the 1000 just keeps collecting dust)

Don't spend money on shit you don't need.

TAKE THAT money and buy a 5000 AND 4000.

problem solved, bros.

you don't make any sense.

I was thinking the same thing, lmbao.

Why would anyone with a 4000 and a sh!tty VA synth (not to mention a good synth) want a 3500 ?

4000 feels and sounds a lot better IMO...matter of fact I think any of the classic MPCs feel a lot better than current models.

5000 = 2500XL

OS updates is one thing to consider when choosing between 4000 and nukai stuff

It is settled.

I slept on the issue.

I am going to get two mpc4000's.

I will then send one to forat to be custom chrome plated.

When I get the first one back from forat, I will then send the number two in.

I have about 15 gigs of samples in mpc4000 format.
I think I tossed out all my beats though.
