baaad probleme ...need help please!!!

yesterday i was listening a cd with the mpc 4000's player and then the mpc freezes ...i switch off switch on the machine...and same probleme it freezes again after 5minutes but this time in the "load" section...switch off switch on...same shit same shit and same shit!! i read somewhere that my hard disk could need a format
i did it with "FULL FORMAT" ...switch off switch on....and then no freezing anymore but the Mpc dont recognize my hard disk now ...what can i do?

buy a new hard disk
