After downloading toranagas drum sounds I thought it was about time I got round to making this available. Those drum programs are really great thanks for sharing them.

Theres alot more of the MPC that can be controlled via sysex..... however these are the bits that were easiest to tidy up first.... and allow u to edit samples and their relevant synth parameters. From your computer.

I use this with a touchscreen to quickly get around my MPC hope u dig it.

foge was a big inspiration for me.

Makes me feel alot better, when I first downloaded them I thought damn it would take me ages to do that.

I was kinda interested as to why you put the same sample layered four times on each pad its kinda nice like that as its quick to go in an set different velocity settings... but I am still curious as to why you did it like that?

Right clicking doesn't work for me either.

Gonna add somemore stuff to the mpc environment soon, I have got it all working I just need to neaten it up so it makes sense.

I am gonna add preset buttons which hold multiple sysex commands so at the touch of a button you can for example change the envelope effect and filter settings all at once! this becomes cool when you have 16 buttons to jump around

I am also gonna add things like set polyphony to 1, set to mute group 1 buttons so that can all be done really fast.

I chop out multiple version of each drum on my kits, for subtle variety.

set them all up the same way, so that you could make a pattern and then scroll through the different sounds, to audition with the pattern.


the year I spent making these was rough.
the project started on the ASR_X
then moved to an mpc60, then finally the 4000



Geoffe, if you have the time, would you be willing to share your touchscreen mixer environment for logic?

I am kind of holding off to see if apple release the much rumored tablet although I would like to buy a much bigger touch screen.

I just got myself an old school interactive whiteboard for free its quite fun but a bit lacking in sensitivity its freaking massive, good for a laugh though.
