iam rockin' a mpc2000xl...in the future i'll cop the 4000...

is there some kind of password-lock that you can put on the o.s. of the 4000 to prevent someone from just stealing your sounds and sequence info....etc....

i don't see how you can leave the 4k...at the studio if you have your ish on that harddrive...

It'll be more of a pain, but just loading the stuff you need into just the RAM (not the hard drive) will leave an empty MPC for the thief.

However, if they broke in and stole it, the sounds weren't what was important to them anyway.
