Multi question

I've read the manual on this.can some describe this function in lamons terms.not sure if I understand the feature.being that the 1k and the xl didn't have it.

It seems like it does the same things the program feature did on other mpcs.what is the difference between multi and program?

Put very simply, a MULTI is a group of programs which may be used in a particular project and loaded as a whole for immediate use.

A kick drum program
A snare program
A Hi-hat program
A bass program
A keyboard program
A sample program

If these six programs were loaded and used to create a song, you'd want to save them in a multi otherwise you may have issues later on when you come back to put in more work.

You are right plus some more simple things. Multis can play more than one program per track since it is a true sampler especially using keygroup programs like a piano, strings and synths all combined together like a triton or motif does. The xl and 1k can only play one program per track. If you are using it like drum sampler like xl and other mpcs just follow the instructions by clint.

so i think i some what got it.if i were to create a sequence from a list of events starting from sample. would it go something like this....sample/sound>program>part>multi>sequence.

That is the way the same in the manual.
