I would try reloading the os again, or maybe try loading and older os.

as for ni maschine, I think it's the dopest thing to drop this year, no joke.

Of course, it doesn't beat the 4k when it comes to controlling a studio full of gear...

but for sampling, chopping, adding fx, changing pitch, etc... much faster. My 4k will be a
sequencer only if I decide to pull it out again lol.

Did you get the MPC working properly?

I am having the same issue where i turn on the MPC4000 and get stuck on the start up screen. PLEASE, if anyone has a fix, let me know.

I am using OS 1.71. When I attempt to use OS Loader to Load the latest or prior OS version I receive an error that my computer cannot recognize an external UBS device. I also tried to hold down "Main + Shift" at start up. Neither worked.

hi shah, you got to make sure all the cables inside your machine are seated correctly!very important..alaso the ram.unplug the something and see if it starts.carefull tho.unplug the optional output boards as they can stall it.no luck then turn the machine on holding down window-shift as a last result.my pc then could see the mpc.the screen on mpc should now say os invalid and be ready for loading new.i use 1.6 because my machine doesent like 1.7......also my machine dosent start with th extra output board installed..bummer.but ....its working great with the digital board..wikkid!!!!!let us know, cheers

I had to take 1.71 off my machine.for some reason it tripped with that os,I use 1.70 and it remained stable  I also put a 120g hard drive in mine 2, so if you just got it,before you start loading sounds, songs and making kits you may wanna get a fresh drive and blow out the memory.
