hy krush groove

once you have set all your regions, press edit (f5), scroll over to (i don't have the 4k here in front of me so i ain't sure about the term) slice regions or somethin similar (anyhow its the second last one on the list)! there you slice up your regions! you can select there create program (set it to yes) and sequences!

hope that helps

why is it after I assign the samples manually to the pads i want them to be on, when i switch back to main mode i can't playback the samples???

I can hear the samples only when I push Pad Assign or when I am in Program mode.

Which means I can't sequence any of the samples cuz I can't hear them in the Main mode!

HELP!

When you slice the sample did turn on the sequence switch to in the slice sample mode? Check out pg 75 in the owner`s manual if you have it.

Make sure in Program mode/zone/...you have the pad set to play the correct way (one shot, loop, sample) one shot plays the sample top to bottom -

well if i put the sample into regions and then into a sequnce, then yes i can playback the chopped samples in the main page, but then again it also creates the sequence which i don't want, and once i delete it the then i cant play back the samples when hitting the pads anymore...

so then what should i do????

another problem i'm having is in song mode, have guys ever noticed that when it plays from one sequence into the next the transition isn't smooth? its noticable that you can hear it change from the one sequence to another...is there a setting that can remedy this??? cuz i initally made this track in the mpc 2000 and in song mode it is perfectly okay in transition, but on the mpc 4000 you can hear the difference.

hello weezy.

after setting up ur regions,
push F5 edit
select slice sample
here u have the option to "generate new sequnce" and/or "create new program".
set the end margin as desired.
if u generate a seq the part/program will be already be assigned to the track/seq u copied it to .
if u just create a program,
u have to assign the program to a part/channel in the multi/main page,
then to play, select a track and set the output to the channel/part u assigned u program to.

the problem in song mode is probaly "reset Qlink and controllers on seq change" turn this to "off".

give that a try and holla back
