MPC 4000 SYNC ISSUE

Hi there can somebody help, I have just got an mpc 4000 (white one) the problem I'm having- in main mode if I have a 4 bar sequence locked up to logic pro 8 starting at bar 1 ending at bar 4, if I move the cycle to start on bar 10 (in Logic) the 4000 slaves but wont sound the drums until it loops around to bar 1 (it starts at bar 2) so from bar 2 - 4 is silent even though the green play light is on the 4000, if I check highlight the "Simul Play" at the bottom of the main page yes it starts playing from any start point but then after a few bars it flams as if a soft thru button was on, please help if you can many thanks 808.

Lose the loop.

Try some good old-fashioned linear recording.

Investigate the features of SONG MODE.

Use the MPC as master instead of slave.

Use one sequencer instead of two.

Find a simpler way to achieve your goal.

I agree with everything Clint told you, accept this :

Doing this wouold defeat the point of using your DAW as the master of all ... that is how my setup is and it works flawlessly.

I had similiar problems and I made my MPC4K slave and I record midi notes into my 4K and now it seems I record everything I need for beats into my 4K. It is very comfortable and even when it seems witut mouse you can't edit it that fast when you get used to it's working great. Not suggesting anything, but that's a way of working 2. cheers
