That's true! I was workin' on the 2kxl for 4 years and now i'm proud to be a 4k owner. It's definitely the leader out there and it really helps me with its so many features! PS: I missed my MPC2000XL so far but i found my new love in this monster!

I guess what aaron means is: "Who's gonna trade your 2kxl for a 4k"...

I am really upgrading it, meaning I am going to this music store in midtown where they have a bunch of Mpc 4000. So i am trading in mines plus some cash for it. Just clearing it up....

I just sold a 3000 to buy a 4000. First of all this thing needs alot of work
with the operating system. People have said stuff about the auditon
feature, man **** the audition feature make the **** decay work right
in the program page. Akai!!! wouldn't be nice if I made a song on any
previous mpc and when I loaded it into the 4000 it played like it played
on an older model? The SEQUENCER is not as GOOD as the 60,2000,3000
( song mode doesn't play smooth )
On another note, there are still alot of features I haven't touched.
Some of these work-a-rounds are going to change your music-work
flow. Something to think about.

I sold the 3000 for $1550 I bought the 4000 for $1850. Not bad
considering my panel light went out. If and when this thing gets fixed it
will be well worth it. Right now the O.S isnt up to par.
I havent made my descion yet to sell it. I just got it 5 days ago. Im going
to give it some time. The last mpc's have been the shit for years. If Akai
can work it out I will wait but will they be as good as previous ones?
