Editing duration of specific sequenced notes in a track?

How do I change the duration of every(specific)note in a track? For instance I have sequenced some drum hits and I want A1 to play at a duration of 250 each time it is triggered, instead of 88, 95, 97, ect... on track 3.

Highlight duration in main field, open window, choose notes, set duration

Step Edit and adjust away.

what is the duration measured in?, and the relation, like ie 500 is so and so and that equals a half note, trying to get a firmer grasp on it

240 is the duration for a 16th note (in 1/16 quantize with 50% swing)

480 is the duartion for a 8th note

960 is the duration for a quarter note

1920 is the duration for half a bar

the 4ks resolution is: 960 parts per quarter note.

, there are 960 "ticks" (or "mini beats" in musicians parlance) per quarter note.

* bar number
* beat number
* tick number(duration)

...So theoretically, you could put in 960 notes to the beat - (':lol:')

Is it possible to see the lenght of the sample in seconds? In the manual it says: 'By default, this is displayd in single sample units.'

So how to change the default setting? Cant find it in the manual..

in the sample edit page move the cursor to "end"
and use the jog dial to scroll
to "time"
