bout to get a mpc 4000 , what should i know ???

im convinced , yall dudes convinced me , im going to get the mpc 4000
what should i know, i did some research, and i know the diff between the extra accesories

IB4D S/PDIF 2 channel digital I/O with WordClock input
IB4ADT 2 IN/8 OUT ADAT optical I/O
IB48P 8 channel analog output board

but whats that about the OS not updated ?

im going to get the one with the extra outputs and im going to max out the memory , what else should i know

If you are going to Max out and you have a digital Hard Disk Recorder check out the IB4DT 2 IN/8 Out ADAT optical I/O to keep everything digital. Go for the memory to upgrade to at least 256MB for sampling and make sure you got OS 1.51 on the bad boy. Hard Disk Drive is a plus too if you have it. I hope it helps.

and also i heard something about the mpc 4000 with a cd burner

os 1.51 is the last os and the best one! if you get a new 4k it will be in there anyway! if not you can download it from any akai website and install it yourself! ... there will come out another one hopefully within 2-3 month

cd burner: thats optional! you can install a cd or a cdrw, which is great to sample from, back up your things, ... currently its even my most used cd player

another advise: gat one with a harddisc! everythin else is a hassle
