Cut midinotes (F4) in seq edit,,

Somehow i dont have the cut function in seq edit,,, IS there something im missing here?? Im having "delete"on the place where the cut function should be. Does anyone have a clue about whats wrong????

sup mo,
im guessing your talking about "cut" & "paste", to cut simply ,highlight your notes/data,
push "delete" ,then u can have the option for the cut notes/data to be

"delete"

"clip" original notes are deleted and ready for pasting from the clipboard

"libary" original notes are deleted and imported to phase lib,

thats weird,, when in seq edit, i can only select F4 wich is delete. No window turns off where i can select stuff, it just delete the highlighted notes.

Also, in the manual the F4 button in seq edit is CUT,,, and i dont have that funcition in that window!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have delete in stead of cut,, can anyone explain this??

the manual is refering to a old OS me thinks,if you want to cut something select more than one note in the seq edit page ,
push f4 (delete) ,
then f5 (libary)
or F6 (clip). thats how my 4k works anywayz!

And how you gonna cut single notes then??

Good question..

Work around is to select an empty space along with the single note and than cut 'n paste the region wich contains only 1 note

cut wont work on a single selection on the grid matrix,copy does though, but if ya do what ikke said make sure the empty space ya select with the single note, doesnt overwrite anything when pasting...

or

copy > clißboard > (immediately) delete > paste

Pfff what are we talking about here,,,, a work around for cutting midinotes,, this is ridiculous,, cutting notes is one of the most basic sequencer functions, i cant believe akai hasnt implement this somehow,, i losing my confidence in the machine.

JUST COPY THE MIDI NOTE, DELETE IT AND PASTE IT WHEREVER YOU LIKE!!!

It seems to me you dont like the MPC4k.. After reading all of your negative posts.
