heres the deal, my friend who is technically challenged keeps bugging me about the 4000 saying that everytime he transfer files via usb jump drive from his 4k to the cpu the song is never the same, once its on the cpu the song doesnt sound the same its like with different intsruments. I'm thinking he may have one of his settings off or maybe a program file wrong. i got an mv-8000 so i'm not much help, can any1 help me out??? you could pm if you want

Edit: or is it possibly the fact that he needs to track out his song onto a daw?? can the 4000 send wav files to a cpu?

Just telling us it sounds wrong is not telling us anything specific.
WHAT EXACT FILES, what everything exactly. You need to be way more descriptive and detailed.

Your Logic is not Reasonable here, lmao.

I recorded the main out to a wav once, then dragged the wav through aksys to pc.

That's because you friend is transferring a midi/seq file I'm guessing. Midi is data not audio, so the different sounds he's hearing are general midi and those sounds reside in the computer already. All he's playing back are the actual events/pads he banged on and not the audio.

You and your friend need to crack open a manual and learn your gear, seriously.
There are other ways to do this also, get into that manual, cause the blind leading the blind is not working out
ya dig, lmao.
