timestretch on 4000

hows the timestretch? i use mpc2000xl now, I mainly use the bpm counter, to change bpm. Hows the 4000?

yeah im thinking of switching. I do my sampling two ways: straight into the mpc, or into the triton. Right now, i just use the xl-and triton. Ive been sampling into the triton because i can apply effects, filter stuff, etc. and then i can actually resample on the triton-so cleaning up a sound is just like the computer-but i hate the sequencer on the triton, so i control it from the 2000xl. I guess i got everything i need, i just want to get my workflow better. I was thinking of selling the xl and getting a 4000. then just using my triton for synthish stuff. ya know. The timestretch on the triton kinda sucks.

~I feel ya! I would sale some beats wit the setup u already got then when u make enough $$ upgrade to the 4k just my 2 tho! Let yur equipment pay for itself and other equipment ya feel me! That can be like a goal for u to reach to make some hot tracks and sale them! Unless u got $$ to cough up then do u!

good idea. Sometimes I gotta separate the gear lust, from the real need. If i work it that way, i can maybe even make some more $$$$ and get something else i really need, and the 4000!

oh i did forget to mention to those who may wonder, yes, i like the mpc2000xl timestetch better than the triton studio timestretch. It takes longer, but it seems to work better. ON the triton i can choose whether to keep the change or not, which is nice, but there really isnt too much choice to be applied to it, i dont know how the equations work, but on the mpc, you can choose the type of sound it is i.e. low freq rythm, hi freq rythm, etc. but you cant on the triton, just quality level 1-7 ?wtf.

i do like on the triton, its got bpm pitch adjust: this is where you can, nstead of just changing the pitch to change the tempo, you can enter your desired tempo and it will automatically change the pitch to where it needs to be-to match that tempo. Works nicely. I wish the timestretch worked that well.
