Headphone Jack (Or maybe I'm stupid...)

OK, I just copped a MPC-4k from the big homie yesterday and I really haven't had the time to hook it up properly into my setup. I was just goofing around after testing all the pads and making adjustments and decided to hook my headphones up to test a few kits. After I load up a program and a multi I'm getting no sound from the headphone jack.

What gives??? I checked the manual but the headphone jack is barely even talked about. Maybe I have a setting wrong??

To my experience, whenever you have a sound signal at the outputs L/R, you should be able to hear it also through the headphone output.
