play one pad with all keys??

hi folks.when using my z8 i would load up a sound and be able to play it across the keyboard.How on the 4000??.is there a quick fix.so say i have a snare on a pad and i want to spead it out across the keys.should be easy but im having a hard time.thanx in advance .irie

Open your manual & learn to read it or if u r that lazy use search button.

What do u expected that everybody will tell you most basic functions of your tools? Manual explains it pretty well, but of course it's better to ask some1 than reading yourself.

Go to program mode and create a program and change TYPE= DRUM to KEYGROUP. Next thing you have to do is to assign sample to it and speciffy it's range. It's that simple. MPC4000 is simple.
Span is where you specify sample range. It's numerical so it's best to highlight it and press WINDOW button and change Set keyrange via MIDI to YES. Pad 13 bank B is C3.

i was just trying to put the mpc in the same mode as the z8.not keygroups as such.
