Using a certain region....

Whats up mpc fam? Ok I know how to take a sample get the right tempo and slice it up and create a new program, but my question is how do I take a certain region from the slice sample, adjust that region start and end point and use it in the sequence? For example I had a sample the other day sliced up and the part I wanted to use was in region number 7, I messed around with the start and end points but I couldn't figure out how to assign that region to a pad



I know someone has the knowledge

Make sure you have the region you want selected. Next you go to edit button, press and scroll to Section>New sample Command. On this page change section field to region and press do it. Now you have extracted the part of the sample that you wanted and can assign to a program and pad you want!! This next step is very, very important download or do as I did have Akai ship you the Reference Manual and read that bad boy to unlock all the secrets the regular manual skips over you will thank me later. However ask for help any time. Several months ago I was just like you when a user on the forum helped me and gave me that tip to get the reference manual it opened a whole new world no sh*t!!! Still learning new tricks. I hope it helps
