HOW CAN I TRANSFER FILES FROM THE MPC 4000 TO MY LAPTOP

I made a sequence and saved it as a song then saved it into a flash drive. I then tried to play the song in my laptop opening the song file with windows media player and this is what it said

"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file."

any suggestions in how i can get this to work?

i think what you saved is a midi file to your flash drive.you could try resampling your sequence on the mpc or youl have to track your audio to your comuter and save that as an audio file.

^^^ Correct! He needs to record his sequence as an audio file first, then transfer it so it can be played on any media player.

i thought i had it but i didnt.....where exactly do i have to go on the mpc to record it as an audio file?

Go to record page and set input to main outs and record your song or sequence.
