Just got the Digital I/O for my 4000. The instructions has helped none. Has anyone installed this thing sucessfully? Im under the hood but cant figure out where to plug in the cord that has all the green wires. It looks as if the big ribbon could go to two different locations but I am not sure. Anyone?

I AM A TECH FOR THE 4000. i JUST INSTALLED BOTH THE I/O AND THE ADAT CARD. tHE GREEN WIRE IS ONLY NECESSARY WHEN YOU INSTALLING BOTH CARDS. yOU CHAIN THE I/O CARD AND THE ADAT CARD TOGETHER BY THE GREEN WIRE WITH THE WHITE TIPS.

I appreciate the info. NOw I can close the lid on the 4000 and get busy re-programming all my srum sounds. I have been layering like a mutha. It is so much sweeter layering sounds with the 4000. Especially with the 6 banks. The possibilities are endless.
I didnt know the I/o card and the ADat card where two different things. I just told sweetwater that I wanted to go digitally 8 out into my Protools Digi 002. I Hope this works as I planned. I havnt even hooked up my Digi 002 yet. I am really hoping to use the protools software to the max with the digital mixer and the wave plugins I got. I am really anticipating the upcoming beat makiing I hope to do. WEll anyways enough about me. What are you currently using for software, hardware, etc. I always love to learn from other MPC lovers. dude its sweet. with the adat all you do is set it up in protools. channel 1-8 analog 9-16 adat. all you do to assign sounds is goto the mixer screen for the pads in the 4000 and assign outputs 1-8. the digi 002 dumps full 16 seamless when its hooked up this way. peace- Bdot
