I have a 500gb hard drive in my 4000 that I want to get backed up on case it crashes so that I won't lose all my files is there some where I can get this done??
I was trying to back it up on an external HD but Amaya keeps crashing and I have so many folders it would take me forever using that system??I was hoping I could take somewhere and copy it on another HD?

If you really want to backup an 500GB HD full with sounds/projects whatever,
taking the unit apart and sticking the IDE HD to a PC is probably the fastest way possible.

Otherwise, check what contents are really important and use AK.SYS for transfer.

I can't image you have 500GB of very personal stuff on the disk!?!

That's what I do, but I'll throw that joint into a usb enclosure and let it do its thang.
