Just ordered a 4000 yesterday. I have a numark M1 mixer with A Technic 1200. I read the 4000 has a pre amp. I there a need for this mixer anymore or is it personal preference?

You're right . No need for a dj mixer or preamp with the 4000.
Unless you want to use the controls on your mixer.

Yep, sounds like it's time to step it up a bit. Here's a 'lil advice, whatever mixer you decide to go with, make sure you get more than what you need.

In other words, if you only need 8 channels, go for something that's double that (if you can afford it of course). This way as you grow, you won't need to deal with that aspect of upgrading because you took care of it beforehand.

Well I picked up a numark M1 usb for like 90 bucks a couple weeks ago to go between my 2000xl and my Sl 1200. I know it aint the best but is it worth it to use between the 2. Im assuming when I am sampling into the 4000 I can adjust the sound from the table just like the mixer? Im not ready to shell alot of cash on a mixer right now. I just spent a fortune on this pimp ass turntable and this beast of an mpc. Cheaa
