HELP ME

I know this may be repeating a question but i get click on end of time stretched samples quite a lot of the time and also some samples make the midi output bar light up on main screen when playing and others don't. This clicking is bugging me so much, any 4000 users that can help please leave suggestions. Cheers

clicks over here aswell, seems to occur on any stretch type. I always fade in/out samples after timestretch, kinda solves the problem, try a 2-5ms setting. Or just discard the very end of the sample, where the clicking hits

Yeah sorry but this issue is really pissing me off, had the MPC 4k for 2 years now and never solved it. Would really love it someone could offer a fix

Let me guess? You're sampling at 24-Bit and 96khz?

Not every time but yeah i guess so. That's kinda the reason i wanted the 4K for string samples etc, 16bit weren't cutting it in clarity.

Take a shot at 24 bit 44.1k if you haven't already done so.

Gonna try that tonight, kinda defeats the point but i guess if it's a fix.
I emailed Bruce Forat to ask him if there is any other way around it, fingers crossed he can help.

That's the answer I was gunning for... Also, don't be too judgemental of 44.1k, 96k won't make to big of a difference. 16 vs 24-bit will!

Another work around would be to adjust your release setting a bit to absorb the "click"!

You need to:
(1) edit your samples properly
(2) set the release envelope properly

It is f*ck all to do with sample rate or bit depth

you say this s*it everytime. There is a clicking artifact added to my samples which shouldn't be there. why should i compromise by tailing off my samples, when that's not how i want them?

you should "compromise" by tailing off your samples because otherwise they'll have a click at the end, duh.

The stretching algorthim obviously sucks somewhat, and is putting a non-zerocrossing portion of waveform at the end. Hence a click. So you need to set an appropriate release and/or fade so it doesn't click. What's difficult?

But it's not even right at the end, it is like a few milliseconds in sometimes, i'll JPEG it when i can be bothered.

I don't mean to have the a-rse but my 2000xl didn't have this problem and you'd think Akai would have got that right.
