Filtering Out Bass Using Samples

Hey Guys, anybody know exactly what to use for bass sounds for the mpc?, I try filtering samples ( I have no idea if I'm doing it correctly) bu I filter it using Ozone with eq's and all. I want to get bass sounds with a RZA and 9th Wonder kind of feel on it, any tips or ways to get this would be perfect and very much appreciated, Thanks!
