Yes, no problem loading 2000xl files into the 4000. Especially if you use AkaiSys.

I ran into a couple trouble with this function initially. But everything maybe kosher for you. If not holla back and I will give you some ideas about how to solve.

my 2000X sequences load just fine into 4000 however I must go and place the samples on the corresponding pads MANUALLY which really sucks
so apparently this is not 100% sorted yet

People have been troubled by this dilema for a minute. Here is a solution I have found:
Using your MPC 4000-Take a brand new zip 100/250 and do a QUICK FORMAT on it. Then take the old zip (with song and program data for transfer) and load them up onto your 2000xl. Then pull the freshly fomated new zip out of the 4000 and put it to the 2000xl. Save All prgms as .wav and save the song files. Take this Zip back to the 4000 and all the programs + songs, seqs should load up. So basicaly you need to re-save the 2000xl files in question, to a disc that has been formatted by the 4000. There should be no need to reassign samples to a program.
